Downtown Denver Expeditionary has taken reasonable steps to provide your child a safe, educational and enjoyable experience. We wish to remind you, however, that no activity is without risk. We do not want to frighten you or reduce your enthusiasm for these activities, but it is important for you to be informed of the possible risks. The following activities listed describe some, but not all, of those hazards and risks:
Urban Experience – Hazards can include the risks associated with contact with strangers, separation from the group, traffic, crime, physical hazards, crowds, severe weather, fire, transportation delays, transportation accidents, animals, water hazards, refuse or trash, purchased food.
Outdoor Experience – Hazards can include the risks associated with transportation to and from the activity, separation from the group, altitude sickness, exposure to the elements, proximity to help, cold/heat exposure, animals, severe weather, allergies, exposure to strangers, terrain, fire, avalanche, falling objects, outdoor hygiene.
Camping Experience – Hazards can include those listed under Outdoor Experience plus the risks associated with packaging and cooking foods, working with camp stoves, and overnight camping.
