    Student Transportation Application
  • NOTE: Please have your child at the bus stop on time for pick –up. The buses leave the depot at 6:50 a.m., the first pick up can be as early as 6:55 a.m. Your cooperation in waiting patiently for the bus arrival is appreciated.

    You are not eligible for bus transportation if you live within an approximate 4 block radius from the school to attend.

    Applications are filled out yearly.

  • In case of serious illness/injury, the driver will render first aid as prescribed by School Board Regulations while contacting the parent. If the situation is serious and a guardian cannot be found, the school will call 911 for the Emergency Medical unit to transport to Archbold Memorial Emergency Room. Fees for transportation and medical services will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. By signing below, you are giving the Thomasville City School System permission to transport your child and contact the doctor in case of an emergency.

  • Dear Parent(s): Please read the following rules and regulations for students riding the bus. Please go over the rules with your child/children. These rules are to endure your child’s safety. Failure to follow these rules could result in suspension from the bus.

    1. NO eating or drinking on the bus.
    2. NO loud talking. The bus driver needs to be able to hear his radio, emergency vehicles, trains, etc.
    3. NO standing or getting out of one’s seat at any time. NO standing while bus is in motion. The bus will not move until everyone is seated.
    4. Students should keep personal items in their school bag at all times.
    5. A parent or responsible person must be home during drop-off times to receive their child/children 30 minutes before drop-off time. If no one is home to receive your child, he or she will be taken back to their school and it will be your responsibility to pick them up.
    6. All students must keep their hands and head inside the bus at all times. NO throwing items out the windows. Windows should be open only with the driver’s permission.
    7. NO throwing objects, fighting or abusive languages! This could lead to permanent removal from the bus.
    8. Children must be fully dressed before entering the bus.
    9. Parents need to let the teacher know in advance if they plan to pick a child up early.
    10. It is the parents’ responsibility to make sure their child is brought safely to and from the bus.
    11. It is the parents’ responsibility to notify the Board Office of any change of an address. We must also have written permission from the parent for your child to be dropped off at another location other than your home address.
    12. Students must be on time for pickup. Failure to be ready will result in your child being left. It will then be your responsibility to transport your child to school.
    13. The bus driver has the right to assign students to certain seats if necessary to promote order on the bus. Failure to comply with this order may result in suspension from riding the bus.

     

    I have read and understand the bus rules and will also explain to my child/children. I agree to abide by the established bus rules. I understand that failure to comply by the rules could result in permenant suspension from the bus.
