Decorations
This year's theme is, "CELEBRATING THE 120TH ANNIVERSARY OF OLD SETTLERS DAYS" Whitley County has been holding this festival every year (with few exceptions) since 1904!
All parade entries should be decorated. This includes vehicles, floats and trailers excluding: emergency vehicles, classic, and car show cars. All walking and animal groups should have a sign or banner to let us know who they are. Extra points will be given for using the theme or celebrating veterans. Please have fun with this, and get your group together and get creative to make the best entries possible.
Performances
All entries are encouraged to be costumed and have an activity or routine to entertain the people along the route, stopping along the parade route for performing will not be permitted except at the judges stand at Van Buren St.
Weather
Rain or shine the parade will go on. In the event of severe weather local emergency services will advise.
Spectator Safety
If you choose to hand out things such as flyers, promotional items, and candy, etc. Please do so safely, and let the parade staff know on your entry form if you intend to do any of the aforementioned activities.
Awards
All entries will be be judged EXCEPT: CCHS Marching Band, Political Entries, American Legion Post 98 Color Guard, Emergency Services, and OSD Officials. Winners will be posted on Facebook.
