MCTA believes that participation in Junior Team Tennis assists in promoting the importance of teamwork, effort, goals, and commitment. JTT is competitive, but winning is not the primary measure of success. Sportsmanship, respect for participants, and honesty are more important than the outcome. All athletes do not perform at the same level, but all can demonstrate effort, dedication, and fair play.
Most of you fully understand the rules and will comply simply because it is the right thing to do. Many of you have witnessed unsportsmanlike behavior at youth sports events which leave everyone feeling uncomfortable. We will always put the players first and will take actions to necessary ensure a positive experience for them.
All grievances should be emailed to hhughes@mctatennis.org. Specific details can be found in the 'Captain's Corner' section of the www.mctatennis.org website.
All players and parents must read, sign and submit the attached Code of Conduct Agreement located on the 2nd page of this letter to MCTA before the player’s first match.
My suggestion is that you submit this form when registering.
Please feel free to contact Stephanie Foster, ksfoster@mctatennis.org, 443.691.4254, if you have questions on any part of the agreement. Thank you and have a great season!!
