Form of Indemnity

As the owner/master of the vessel named above, I do hereby indemnify the Looe Boat Owners' Association (LBOA) and all its officers, agents and servants against any claim arising out of myself, my crew, and my craft participating in LBOA club events and voluntarily accept any risk or injury.

I undertake to carry a valid certificate of boat insurance covering third party liabilities for these events, along with full safety and emergency equipment in working order as prescribed by Marine Coastguard Agency (MCA).

I understand that such items may be inspected by a LBOA representative, and that it is LBOA policy that lifejackets be worn at all times when underway.

I accept that the LBOA representative has the right to exclude any vessel which in his/her opinion should not be permitted to take part in any event.

I also accept that events can be cancelled, should weather or other conditions make a venture unsafe.
