FINANCIAL AGREEMENT
The Wake County Public School System does not provide the funding necessary to fully support the music/band programs at East Wake High School. The primary purpose of the EWHS Band Boosters is to support and fund these programs.
The total cost to participate in the 2022 EWHS Marching Band Program is $350. This financial obligation is referred to as your "Fair Share."
All Fair Share payments are to be applied first to back balances of a student's account, unless prior arrangements are made and approved by the Director, President, and Treasurers.
Your financial obligation can be satisfied by fundraising, cash, credit card, or a combination thereof. The EWHS Band Boosters provides numerous opportunities for students and their parents to fundraise. Many families satisfy their financial obligation to the Band program exclusively from fundraising. Any monies raised through Booster activities will remain the property of the East Wake Band Boosters to fund the program.
NOTE: Financial assistance (scholarship) is available through the Boosters for students who demonstrate need. No student should be discouraged from participating due to this financial obligation. Boosters will assist every family who demonstrates a willingness to contribute their "fair share". It is expected that financial assistance applicants participate in fundraising activities throughout the year, including working at our venue arrangements (for example, Coastal Credit Union). A financial aid request form is available by contacting Mr. Mack Garner by email at jgarner@wcpss.net
Please see the EWHS Band Handbook and Fair Share Contract for further explanation of this topic.
