One of the most immediate and effective ways to help is to make a financial contribution. St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto has established a fund to direct resources to programs and services for new arrivals in Canada forced from their homes by the war in Ukraine:

Thank you for your interest and support! Many families fleeing the war in Ukraine have started to arrive in Canada. Often, the new arrivals are young women, mothers and their children — and we are organizing ourselves to help provide the support they need.

Many of the new arrivals will be young women, mothers and children — and we are hoping that many of the women and young mothers in our own parish might be able to give of their time to welcome and connect with these families in the spirit of sisterhood, helping them familiarize themselves with our community and life in Canada.
