Hello Parents/Guardians:

She Selfish, will be providing an opportunity for your child to participate in an educational course entitled, Let's Talk About Sex! This course is abstinence-based, age-appropriate and medically accurate, with information about sexual health, education, awareness, protection and prevention. The primary focus of this course will allow for students to enhance their communication skills, decision-making skills, and resistance skills. In this course, we hope to assist students with developing their knowledge and skills, while promoting healthy attitudes about development, self-esteem, body image and safety. This course will promote health and wellbeing in the following areas:

Gender Identity and Sexuality

Menstrual Cycles and Hygenie

Boundaries, Consent and Safety

STI'sand HIV

Prevention Methods (Abstinence and Condoms)

(Topics will vary based on the request of the host(s) of event)

All workshops are interactive and designed for 6-12th grade youth and are aligned with the National Sexuality Education Standards and the Social Jusitice Standards.

Parents/Guardians have the right to decline, in writing, the option for their child(ren) to participate in this course.
