ESYO CONCERT CHORALE AUDITION APPLICATION
ESYO Concert Chorale is an evolution of ESYO's Melodies of Christmas Chorale. Members of ESYO's Concert Chorale perform and explore a wide variety of challenging repertoire ranging from classical masterworks and large-scale symphonic masterpieces to traditional folksongs and contemporary choral works by living composers. Members of Empire State Youth Orchestra's Concert Chorale are featured alongside ESYO's Symphony Orchestra at CBS 6's annual Melodies of Christmas concerts at Proctors in Schenectady. For the first time ever, members of ESYO Concert Chorale are invited to participate in a year-round ESYO experience with dedicated performance opportunities in the spring including our much-loved Playathon.

ESYO Concert Chorale Auditions are in person at the Helderberg Reformed Church in Guilderland Center on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, 2022. Complete this application to recieve an audition date and time.

Audition Information
All members of the ESYO Concert Chorale must audition in-person at Heldeburg Reformed Church in Guilderland Center on June 18-19, 2022.

Required Audition Expectations Include:

Prepared Solo (Encouraged But Not Required)- Vocalists considering participating in the year-round ESYO experience are encouraged to prepare and perform one short solo piece that best demonstrates their vocal experience.

Excerpts- Prepare all required excerpts for voice classification.

Sight Reading- Complete required sight-reading exercise.
