The CDP-ICLEI 2024 reporting platform is now open! Councils around the world are receiving invitations to report as part of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) and Cities Race to Zero. This is a vital part of co-creating a robust world map of climate action so we can see the impacts, gaps and opportunities.
We know this means extra work and resourcing but does it need to be so time-consuming?
Well, we've got good news.
In addition to simplifications of the questionnaire, ICLEI Oceania and CDP have been working with Ironbark Sustainability to allow councils who wish to automatically use their Snapshot emissions inventory (or profile) as their preferred reporting method to do so.
We've been working behind the scenes to make sure that we have an inventory file, based on Snapshot data, that is now perfectly mapped to CDP. You can find out more by watching the recording of a webinar on this topic.
We're providing a few options, as we understand that some councils want to do the back-end reporting themselves, while others often outsource it completely to experts or consultants.
Both options have been developed on a cost-recovery model.
Option 1: We can create the file for you and send it to you in CSV format along with a short guide on how to upload the file. Then you do the rest, logging into the CDP-ICLEI portal to upload/import the file yourself and also respond to any additional questions required. Note that this option contains no additional support.
Cost: $2,290 + GST
Option 2: We create the file and upload it to CDP-ICLEI portal and fill in relevant additional questions and ensure that there are no errors or concerns. We respond to any additional queries around the data and formatting. We undertake all of the back-end work in your account and leave you with a completed report.
Cost: $2,970 + GST
Finally please note that these options are not mandatory! You of course can report using other data, inhouse expertise, other consultants. This is one option using Snapshot data based on requests from Australian councils to facilitate this proces.
