General Candidate requirements:
- Must be an AVMA or NAVTA member practicing in the appropriate professional activity for the CVTEA position
- Able to invest 12-16 days per year away from home, with additional preparation time for meetings or other committee business
- Able to travel
- Have expertise with use of technology (email, Zoom, Microsoft) and have reliable access to Wifi and appropriate hardware/software

The following exercise is designed to ascertain your ability to familiarize yourself with a Standard of Accreditation, read an example self-study response, and then demonstrate your ability to critically evaluate data, formulate questions, and reach conclusions.
