  • A copy of a current W-2 form is required for verification of income and must be included with this application.

  • REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

    In order for your application to be considered, it must have financial documents attached for review.

    • If employed, last two paycheck stubs or recent W2.
    • Recent tax return (1040) showing your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).
    • If filing an extension, please submit a letter explaining the situation.
    • A paragraph from your singer indicating interest in joining the TGC.

    **Important information for split households**

    • If parents are divorced or separated and there is divided financial contribution to the child, the above information is required of the second parent. If unable to get this information, please state in a letter the special circumstance. 

     

    If there are no above documents available due to SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES such as: Unemployment, disability, noncustodial parent, reduction in income or job loss due to COVID-19 or other special circumstances, etc. Families must still provide supporting documentation:

    • Unemployment or SSI: A statement from the appropriate agency, stating the last date the benefit was paid.
    • A letter from the former employer stating last day of employment along with W-2s.
    • A letter from the employer stating reduction in hours and/or wages.
    • Families can also submit a letter to explain special circumstances if it will help aid in the decision making.

    A tuition scholarship application WILL NOT be considered in full if there are no financial documents (or statements of special circumstances) included. 

  • The Tucson Girls Chorus makes financial assistance/scholarships based on need. Decisions pertaining to to financial assistance/scholarships are made at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee without regard to race, color, religion, or ethnic background.

  • How to Upload Documents

    The optimal format for documents is scanned .pdf files. Pictures of documents in .jpg or .png are also acceptable (please make sure the pictures are not fuzzy and the text is readable). Use the upload function below to send your files securely to the TGC.

    Demographic information is solicited by Tucson Girls Chorus in order to provide requested data for grant purposes.
    You are not required to furnish this information, but are encouraged to do so. All information will remain confidential.


  • It is expected that a singer who receives any financial assistance will remain active in the Tucson Girls Chorus for the year in which the assistance is awarded.

     

    I have answered the above questions honestly and agree that the scholarship is to be used only for tuition. I am responsible for other TGC requirements such as singer participation, fundraising, volunteering, and costumes. Non-compliance with TGC requirements will result in the tuition scholarship being revoked. I, the undersigned, do hereby certify that this information is correct, to the best of my knowledge.
