2022 Queensland Youth State Teams U14-U18 Coach Application

Australian Youth Volleyball Championships

The Australian Youth Volleyball Championships is Australia’s premier indoor tournament for youth volleyball athletes. Volleyball Queensland is proud of its success at this tournament, defending the President's Trophy as overall champion state since 2015.

The Championships comprises Under 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 age groups for girls and boys and will be held;

24 – 29 September 2022 (this includes the likely travel days)
in Bendigo Victoria

Volleyball Queensland is seeking an application from;

volleyball coaches who are experienced in representative team programs and qualified with minimum VA Level 2 or 3 accreditation to appoint as age group head coaches and/or
club & school volleyball coaches who are qualified with minimum VA Level 1 or 2 accredidation to assist as team coaches,

in the five available girls and boys age groups.

All appointed coaches will be required in the late May to late September period to:

Contribute to the identification of invitees to trial for selection by attending VQ competitions
Conduct Trials as required
Conduct Trainings as scheduled
Coach and supervise team/s at the Championships

Applications will close Wednesday 18 May 2022.

All applicants must hold a current Qld WWCC Blue Card across the entirety of the program.

Volleyball Queensland anticipates there will be sufficient interest and standard of players to enter two teams (Maroon & Development) in each of the girls and boys age groups. The organisation's representative team framework provides context to the performance focus of each of the Maroon and Development teams and the general nature of the program.

Final coach selections will be undertaken by the Volleyball Queensland State Team Program Committee and recommended to the Volleyball Queensland Board for approval.
