To better understand your project and ensure you are following all applicable building codes, we require you to upload appropriate documentation to illustrate and/or explain the work proposed for this permit, such as a scope of work, plat of survey, layout, drawings, diagrams, estimate, etc.

Please note: Supporting documentation exceeding 10 pages and/or architectural blueprints larger than 11 x 14 inches cannot be uploaded to this application.

Instead, plan to submit a printed Residential Building Permit Application along with 4 sets* of plans to the City of West Chicago Community Development Department, 8:00AM to 4:30PM, M-F.

*New Single Family Homes require 5 complete sets of building plans.
