  • AMLS is a sixteen-hour, two-day program that consists of interactive lectures, teaching and evaluation stations. The interactive/case based lectures include the following topics: altered mental status and neurologic disorders, respiratory dysfunction, shock, chest discomfort, endocrine, metabolic and environmental disorders, abdominal discomfort, infectious disease, and toxicologic emergencies, hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction.

    Parking:

    Parking is free.  There is a small lot in the front and a larger parking lot in the rear of the building.  

     

    The building location is also known as the VCU Health - Parham Building. Upon arrival to the first floor lobby, take the elevators down to the basement.  Once in the basement, from the elevators, take a left and follow the signs to the office of the Old Dominion EMS Alliance.  Be advised, the building is locked on weekends.  A staff member will be present in the lobby to allow for access into the building. 

     

     

    FAQ:

    1. The course agenda and pretest will be sent via email to the email address on this registration form.  Please enter your email address carefully. 
    2. If you chose to have a loaner book mailed to you it will be mailed out at least 1 week out from the course.
    3. The course may be canceled if there is low registration. If this occurs, all registrants will be refunded in full.

  • ODEMSA Payment Policies/Loaner Book Information

  • If you choose to receive a loaner textbook,  the loaner textbook must be returned on the last day of class to receive certification and CE credits. 

    If a registrant receives a textbook and is no longer able to attend the course, it is the registrant's responsbility to return the loaner textbook to the Old Dominion EMS Alliance office. 

    Failure to return the loaner textbook will result in an additional charge of $65.00.

  • Refund Policy - No refunds given within one week of the course.   Exception:  Refunds are provided in full if the course is canceled due to low registration.

    Invoice Policy - If you choose invoice you must have an agency name and email address filled out for ODEMSA to bill. If your bill is not paid within 10 days of start of the class your registration will be cancelled and made available to other registrants.

    Personal Check Policy - ODEMSA does NOT accept personal checks. 

    Late Cancel/No Show Policy - The deadline for canceling registration is 14 days prior to course start date. Reservations must be cancelled by emailing your cancellation to talmeida@vaems.org. Phone cancellations will not be accepted.
