Teacher Leader Endorsement Application

Candidates for the Teacher Leader Endorsement must meet the following requirements to apply for the Teaching Leader Endorsement.

1. A valid, level 4 or higher Professional, Advanced Professional, or Lead Professional teaching certificate, Leadership certificate, Life certificate, or service certificate.

2.Have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience.

3. Provide a recommendation letter to serve as a Teacher Leader from a local unit of administration or school administrator is required for program admission. Educators admitted to the program holding leadership, Life, or service certificates must have held a Professional teaching certificate.

4. This endorsement is NOT the teacher leadership certification. This endorsement does NOT lead to the initial certification in Teacher Leadership.
