Summer Reading Sign Up 2022

The Summer Reading Program is back and In-Person! Sign up is welcome to all ages this year. Yes, even you mom and dad (Read the newspaper? Magazines? Online articles? Books? This all counts too)! There will be lots of prizes and events this summer for every age group. Everyone that meets their Reading Goal will get to pie a librarian in the face as well as for those 12 and under can win a pass for the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines! Start logging those hours! Pick up log sheets and a goodie bag as soon as possible. Final day to turn in hours is Saturday, July 23! Voting for prizes and turning in hours can be done online again this year.

Reading Goal In Hours: 15 minutes a day = 14 hours; 30 minutes a day = 27 hours; 45 minutes a day = 41 hours; 1 hour a day = 54 hours or decide on your own goals! What ever your decide is fine. Make it realistic yet challenging. Those that meet their reading goal will have a chance to pie a librarian in the face! Start logging hours after May 30th. Log sheets are due July 23rd.*

If a child meets their Reading Goal they will get Iowa Cub tickets for the game on Sunday August 14, 2022 for the immediate family! If you are interested in going please let us know how many tickets your immediate family will need so we can order enough for everyone!*
Will you be attending weekly activities from June 6th-July 21st? We know not everyone can make it to every week. That's perfectly fine.*

Treasure Hunt In Sheffield! Pick up a treasure sheet from the Library or print out online to hunt over town the week of May 30th through the June 6th! Follow clues then turn in the sheet for a prize! Is this something you are interested in?*

Teddy Bear Sleepover! 7-8PM Wednesday, June 15th! Come listen to stories and do a craft before tucking your teddy into bed for their overnight stay here at the Library! Wear your PJs and bring a blanky if you like. (Don't bring something your child can't go without for a night!) Can you attend?*

Lego League in the fall! Spaces Limited! Must be between the ages of 9 and 14 as of January 1st, 2022! Kids will build robotics and other fun things as well as compete in competitions. Would you like more information about this?
