Basic Qualifications *** $2,000 Entry Level Sign on Bonus ***

* Applications are due June 8th, 2022 and the testing date is June 11th, 2022 *An applicant shall be at least 21 years old and under 36 years old at the time of appointment unless exempt from such age limitations by statute * A high school diploma (or its equivalent) is required. * The applicant must be a United States Citizen * Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and a valid State of Illinois FOID card, or the ability to get them if residing in another state. * An applicant must not have any felony convictions nor have been convicted of any serious misdemeanors. * An applicant must agree to comply with all requirements of the position and have the ability to pass all examination and training requirements including but not limited to an initial background investigation, power test, written examination, oral interview, polygraph, psychological examination, and pre-employment physical testing. * An applicant must reside within (15) miles of the City of Kewanee within one year of hire. * An applicant must also be able to furnish, a copy of any documents requested by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, or background investigators. Documents include certified birth certificate, high school diploma, certified copy of college transcript, military records, etc.
