The Foster-to-Adopt Program was created to place animals into approved forever homes in a foster situation prior to adoption. The Foster-to-Adopt Program allows approved applicants to take an animal into their home to monitor the dynamic with other pets and make sure the addition to the family is a positive experience for everybody involved.

In order to be accepted into this program, Foster-to-Adopt applicants must have an approved application and home visit with Cali And Friends Rescue. 

You must be over 21 years of age to foster to adopt or adopt from Cali And Friends Rescue. 

, agree to provide temporary foster care for the following animal(s) from Cali And Friends Rescue.  

 

 

 

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND INITIAL EACH PARAGRAPH I understand that: 1.Cali And Friends Rescue is entering into this Foster-to-Adopt Agreement as a courtesy to me to allow me to have custody of this animal for 2-3 weeks. when a final decision will be made and I may or may not finalize the adoption process. I must comply with Cali And friends  policies concerning this animal while he/she is still in temporary foster care.

I understand that the custody of this animal will be temporary until the adoption process is complete.

As a Temporary Foster Home for Cali And Friends with the intention of adopting the fostered animal, I agree to comply with the following conditions and requirements:

Cali and friends Foster do Adopt Contract (3 pages)

1. Should I decide to adopt this cat, I agree to pay an adoption fee to be determined by Cali And Friends - at the time of signing the final adoption contract.

2. The animal is and shall remain the sole property of the Cali And Friends for a period of fostering to adopt.  

any reason the adoption is not finalized, I understand that the animal(s) shall be returned to Cali And Friends. 

3. I will provide the animal with good care, including but not limited to, proper food, fresh water, shelter, , and medication when required.

4. I will comply with all instructions received from Cali And Friends and will not deviate from any instructions as to the care  of the cat. consulting with a representative of Cali and Friends.

5. I agree to maintain the animal(s) as my own household pet(s) and companion(s

6. I agree to comply with all California State laws and local ordinances applicable to the animal(s

7. I agree to keep the animal(s) under my control and not let cats roam freely outside of home or fenced yard.

8. I will provide a safe and loving home environment and will socialize the animal to humans and other animals.

 9.  I agree to properly supervise said cat at all times and to communicate with Cali and friends at all times. 

10. I will be provided with veterinary records that show that the animal has received appropriate veterinary care to date and is in good health or if there are any exceptions that I should be made aware of. A) If the cat needs medical attention, a member of  Cali And Friends must be contacted immediately and must approve all vet visits

11. This agreement is not transferable. If I am unable to care for the animal I will return it to Cali And Friends Rescue. 

12. I understand that other animals in my household could be exposed to medical or behavioral conditions that have not been recognized in the foster animal placed with me by Cali And Friends. Cali And Friends is not liable for any disease or injury of my own companion animals or other exposed animal.

13.  I agree not to attempt to hold Cali And Friends responsible for any damages which the animal may do to any person or property. I specifically release Cali And Friends of any responsibility pertaining to any damage to property or personal injury or any occurrence relating to the cat and shall hold Cali And Friends harmless regarding any damage or injury(ies) of any nature whatsoever, and agree to notify Cali And Friends immediately of any damages and/or injury(ies

14. If rescue attempts communication and foster to adopt is unresponsive and theres no contact Cali and friends has the right to remove the cat/dog from the property.

I recognize this is an Agreement and have signed this Agreement freely and voluntarily.
