    As an apprentice, you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration through a mixture of on the job experience and attendance at a leading college.

     As an apprentice, you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain a NVQ Level 2 in Finance Apprenticeship through a mixture of on the job experience and attendance at a leading college.

    Job Summary

    We have a new exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking for a diverse accounting role. You will learn what it is like to work in a friendly finance function by supporting the processing and maintenance of a busy finance department.

    You will be mentored by experienced colleagues and will learn to skills to:

    • Maintain daily cash books
    • Daily bank reconciliation process.
    • Prepare daily cash figures.
    • Method of handling petty cash.
    • Process supplier invoices and credit notes into the various accounting systems.
    • Process and input of expenses claims.
    • Data input.
    • Preparation of payment runs for group companies.
    • Maintain ledgers and reconciliation of balances.
    • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required

    About You

    You will be required to attend a local college on day release for 12-15 months and achieve a Level 2 Finance and Accounting Qualification.

    • You will have good communication skills.
    • You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.


    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    GCSE’s in English, Maths and ICT at grade 4 (or equivalent) or above are desirable; however, not essential as Functional Skills are offered as part of the Apprenticeship Framework.
