Job Summary
We have a new exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking for a diverse accounting role. You will learn what it is like to work in a friendly finance function by supporting the processing and maintenance of a busy finance department.
You will be mentored by experienced colleagues and will learn to skills to:

Maintain daily cash books

Daily bank reconciliation process.

Prepare daily cash figures.

Method of handling petty cash.
-
Process supplier invoices and credit notes into the various accounting systems.

Process and input of expenses claims.
-
Data input.
-
Preparation of payment runs for group companies.

Maintain ledgers and reconciliation of balances.
-
Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
About You
You will be required to attend a local college on day release for 12-15 months and achieve a Level 2 Finance and Accounting Qualification.

You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
GCSE’s in English, Maths and ICT at grade 4 (or equivalent) or above are desirable; however, not essential as Functional Skills are offered as part of the Apprenticeship Framework.
