  • Up-And-Comer Award 

    Awarded to a new faculty member who demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to advancing interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP).

    • < 3 years of engagement with the NIHC
    • Demonstrations contributions to the advancement of IPE or IPCP through teaching, scholarship, service, and/or clinical practice. 
  • Stand-Out-Performer Award

    Awarded to a dedicated faculty member who demonstrates a sustained commitment to the advancement of interprofessional education(IPE), interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP), and the NIHC.

    • 3-10 years of active engagement in the NIHC
    • Demonstrates significant contributions to the advancement of IPE and/or IPCP through:
      • IPE Curriculum design, implementation, and assessment. 
      • Faculty Development
      • IPE or IPCP-related scholarship
      • Precepting interprofessional teams of learners
      • Advancing IPE in the community
  •  The Robert Sutton Career Achievement Award

    Awarded to a dedicated faculty member who demonstrates exemplary contributions to the advancement of interprofessional education (IPE) and/or interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP).

    • > 10 years of demonstrated commitment to advancing IPE and IPCP
    • Demonstrates sustained contributions to the NIHC since its inception through:
      • Major contributions to IPE curriculum design, implementation, assessment
      • Major contributions to interprofessional faculty development
      • Significant research and publications related to IPE/IPCP
      • Increasing access to clinical experience for interprofessional teams of learners
      • Improving community health and access through collaborative practice
  • Student Excellence in IPE Award

    Awarded to a student who demonstrates enthusiasm, commitment, and leadership to advancing interprofessional education and practice (IPE). 

    • Actively participates in the NIHC Student Engagement Committee, showcasing a dedication to fostering interprofessional connections.
    • Demonstrates exemplary campus leadership, cultivating an environment that champions interprofessionalism. 
    • Engages in community service endeavors, scholarly pursuits, and/or research initiatives aimed at enhancing interprofessional collaboration to enhance health outcomes.
    • Displays a strong commitment to continuous learning and advancement in interprofessional collaboration. 
    • Maintains good academic standing within a health professions program affiliated with a NIHC member institution. 
    • Successfully fulfills program-specific requirements for participation in the comprehensive NIHC core IPE curriculum. 
  • Champion in IPE Award

    Awarded to a dedicated staff/administrator who provides sustained contributions and service to the NIHC such as:

    • Volunteers to assist with interprofessional activities, workshops, conferences, and other relevant events, and encourages others to participate as well. 
    • Promotes a campus culture of interprofessional collaboration & education among staff members and students across disciplines.
