In the event of death or incapacity we undertake to make all reasonable efforts to rehome your dog to an experienced and suitable GWP home /family and to ensure their health and happiness. We should be contacted immediately at such time, initially by email to GWPneedUKhome@GWP-UK.com, please title your email as the above title. We ask for a £25 donation to Register your information and to contact you annually to update information. There will be no further requests for donations or payments until such time that you require this service. If you have Pet Insurance you should make sure the Policy is in the name of an additional person so it continues for as long as possible for your dog. You can deposit data related to your dog, such as the breeder, distant friends, distant family members with us in confidence as we keep your information secure and private. We never pass on your data to 3rd Parties or for marketing. As a Charity we shall oversee any shortfall of financial help in your dog's new home but must stay within Charity Commission guidelines which means we cannot finance privately owned dogs however at the time of your death your dog will be homeless and we can help. If you anticipate your dog will probably be old and may require supplements or medicines so you should add to your Letter of Wishes that you want to finance the new owner maybe bi-annually to facilitate this. If your solicitor (who might not be a dog lover and or may be far away) would like us to report back to him when we check on your dog please ask your solicitor to contact us to arrange this.
Depending on the age of your dog only you will know how much your dog's ongoing maintainance costs (meds, decent food and out of pocket expenses) will need paying for any urgent home foster. Travel costs are min @ £350 with a qualified driver to transit across the UK. Will you create a Letter of Wishes to donate a min of £1000 from your estate to our Registered Charity 1201479 GWPneedUKhome to help continue your dog's care and relocation costs until he is rehomed ? Whilst seeking and arranging transport the Foster Care might run into several weeks if holidays interfere.
