    1. ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

      Rising Stars Youth Theatre Co. offers year-round theatre workshops and intensives for young performers in grades 2–12, with training in acting, voice, dance, and technical theatre.

    2. 2026 PROGRAM DATES & SCHEDULE

      LOCATION:
      Pehrson Hall - adjacent to the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta,
      32 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871

      Spring 2026 Workshop

      Disney's Descendants — Junior Division (Grades 2–8)
      Rehearsals: Sundays starting February 1 | 1PM–4PM
      Tech Week: May 3 (Sun) 1–5PM · May 6 (Wed) 4:30–8PM · May 7 (Thu) 4:30–8PM
      Shows: May 8 @ 7PM | May 9 @ 2PM & 7PM

      Summer 2026 Intensives

      Bye Bye Birdie: June 24–July 10 
           Monday–Friday, 9AM–3/4PM
           Shows: July 10 @ 7PM & July 11 @ 2PM & 7PM

      Lion King Jr: July 13–July 24
           Monday–Friday, 9AM–3PM
           Shows: July 24 @ 7PM & July 25 @ 2PM & 7PM

      Newsies: July 27–August 7
           Monday–Friday, 9AM–4PM
           Shows: August 7 @ 7PM & August 8 @ 2PM & 7PM


      All shows and Tech Week attendance are mandatory.


    3.  FEES & PAYMENT

      Standard Registration Fee: $575 per child, per program
      Late Registration Fee: $600 (after posted deadlines)
            Payment must be completed within 24 hours of accepting a role.
            We accept PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.

      Mandatory Costume Fee: $25–$100 (exact amount announced midway program)

      Show Tickets: $15–$20 per person (available online via Ticket Tailor)

      Cast T-Shirts (optional): $20 (up to XL) | $25 (larger sizes)

      Playbill Booster Ads (optional): $40–$70

    4. KEY POLICIES SUMMARY

      The following is a brief summary of our most important policies.
      Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.

      No Refund Policy:
      Rising Stars maintains a strict no-refund policy.
      The only exception is a certifiable medical emergency with a formal letter from a state-licensed physician, subject to Board review.
      A $250 administrative fee will be deducted from any approved refund.

      No Transfer Policy:
      Registrations cannot be transferred between programs under any circumstances.

      Attendance:
      Missing more than 3 days may result in removal from the program without a refund. Lead roles missing 2+ days may be recast to ensemble. Tech Week is mandatory — no excused absences permitted.

      Behavior:
      Rising Stars maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, disrespect, foul language, or inappropriate behavior of any kind — in person or online. This policy applies to parents and family members as well.

      Conflicts:
      All scheduling conflicts must be submitted in writing. Verbal conflicts are not valid.

      Cell Phones:
      Cell phones must be put away during all rehearsals. Use is permitted during designated breaks only.

      Pickup:
      All children must be signed out from inside the building by an authorized guardian. No child may leave unaccompanied.


    5. WHAT TO BRING & DRESS CODE

      Every Day:
      Packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water.
      Comfortable athletic clothing and appropriate dance shoes.
      Show script, notebook, pencil, highlighter.

      ** Jeans, UGGs, and Crocs are not permitted.

       

    6. CAMPUS LEAVE POLICY (For Summer Intensives Only):

      Only Students ages 14 and older, may leave campus in groups of 2 or more to these select nearby restaurants: Cloveberry, Asian Island, Cafe Pierrot, Burger King, Tokyo Sushi

      Those who are licensed drivers may venture out to: Anthony Francos, Sparta Diner, Dunkin Donuts, Frank's Pizza, Sushi Ya, Boneyard, Lake House, Casa Mia, St. Moritz, Kroghs -- only if the Permission to Leave Campus form is signed and submitted by parent.

      ** For insurance purposes, only siblings of licensed drivers may leave with their licensed sibling - no exceptions.

    • SECTION 8 - STREAMING VIDEOS

      Depending on the theatrical right company, some shows are NOT ALLOWED to be streamed nor video-taped and sadly we must abide by ALL rules.
      When we have the rights to "video" them, we share them on YouTube.
