Young Advocates Application - 2026-27
  • Young Advocates Council

    2026-27 Membership Application
  • The mission of the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is to close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food. The Young Advocates Council (YAC) plays a key role in that mission. Thank you for your interest in the YAC.

With your leadership we will work together to feed our hungry neighbors. Eligible YAC members must be entering grades 9-11. Seniors are encouraged to apply, but due to the typical Senior schedule, applicants entering 12th grade will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

To apply for participation in the YAC, please submit the following application to be considered. Completed applications will be reviewed by a panel of NTFB staff and YAC student leaders. Finalists will be invited to a virtual interview with members of the admissions panel.

Applications are due no later than 11:59PM Tuesday, June 30, 2026. For more information, including Senior applicants, please contact us at YAC@ntfb.org. If chosen, there is a class fee of $50 or mandatory canned food drive with an in-kind value of $50 or more, benefitting NTFB. This fee will cover expenses like lunches, fundraising supplies, class t-shirt, etc.
