Non-ambulatory dogs or cats, including dogs that must be carried

into the facility, dogs over the age of 14 and/or dogs/cats

with any autoimmune disorders or chronic illnesses

will not be allowed to board at our resort.

Our resort does not accept boarders that have not resided in either Illinois, Michigan or Wisconsin during the most recent 30 days prior to their proposed stay.

Further, Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort, Inc. reserves the right to deny boarding and daycare privileges to any animal, whether first-time or established guest for any reason that we may deem essential to the safety or well-being of your pet, our employees, property and our reputation in the pet care community. Intact dogs will not be allowed to participate in Day Care but will be allowed to board at our resort. Individual play times will be provided for intact dogs. Please call for more information.

REQUIRED VACCINES FOR DOGS

To ensure the safest and healthiest environment for your pet please check your records to make sure that your pet's immunizations meet our requirements. We do accept titers for Distemper and suggest you use Antech Labs because they use the IFA method, which gives a "yes or no" answer about protection. Titers are required yearly. If your pet is not protected against the disease (s)he must get a booster shot.

RABIES

Please request the 3-year vaccine after your pup’s first vaccine (in Illinois the first vaccination is required to be a one-year.)

DHLPP (Distemper)

Required, recommend 3-year vaccine

BORDETELLA/Canine Influenza

We do not require these vaccines; this is a decision to be made with your vet whether or not to administer either of these. If you DO decide to immunize your dog be sure to have the shots administered AT LEAST TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO BOARDING. We will not board dogs who have been immunized less than two weeks before boarding with us.

FECAL EXAM

Zinc Sulfate Flotation Test

This test checks for worms and parasites; must be done within 6 months of initial visit and updated every 6 months thereafter. Make sure Giardia and Coccydia are checked for in this test as well. If your pet tests positive for parasites he/she will not be allowed to board.
REQUIRED VACCINES FOR CATS

RABIES - Annual or 3-year

Feline Leukemia, FIV and FIP - negative blood test covers all 3 - Every 4 years

Feline Leukemia vaccine is only for Feline Leukemia

FVRCP - One in the cats lifetime

We do not board cats that are positive for FIV, FIP or Feline Leukemia

PAMPERED PET SERVICES
Pawsitively Heaven Pet Resort, Inc. has those little extras that make your dog's stay that much better. Ask about our special services like Pamper Me Please, One-on-One Play Time or a Tuck-In with Good Night Kisses. Please bring treats for your pup to be given after a session.

PAMPER ME, PLEASE Does your pup think you're the next best thing to his favorite treat when you give him a belly rub? Schedule some special pampering time! Sessions are customized to your pet's likes. Sessions may include a good old body rub, hugs, kisses and snuggle time.

PLAYTIME/EXTRA WALKS Dogs are invited to one-on-one exercise/play sessions. Please let us know about your dog's favorite games or toys. Would you like your pet to try out some mental stimulation with our thinking games? If so, please bring some treats or pick up some in our Lobby Store.

TUCK-IN with Good Night Kisses Ensures your pet will drift off to sleep feeling loved and content. Our in-room tuck-in service with lots of good night kisses is every pet's perfect ending to an awesome day.

FINE DINING AND CARRY OUT The pampering process has to include a warm meal to make your dog feel as if you’ve cooked specially for him or her. Our Turkey Sweet Potato Terrine includes eggs, organic kale and peas and is prepared locally by a Pet Chef using human-grade ingredients and preparation standards. Available to take home, too.
