JIM BAER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
There will be no less than two awards of $1200 each made annually.

Instructions to apply as follows:

1. Each applicant must have completed a Market Livestock project within twelve months of submitting this application. 2. Each applicant must be a High School Graduate or student in college/technical school, and still active in 4H/Junior Fair youth program. 3. Any individual not receiving the scholarship award may apply a second time within one year of last completed market livestock project. 4. Applications must be submitted on entry day of the Canfield Fair in the year applicant is planning to enter college/technical school. The completed application must be presented to the Market Livestock office or Junior Fair office at the Canfield Fair. 5. Applications must be completed on the provided fillable forms then printed out. No electronic forms will be accepted. 6. Each applicant must submit a total of three letters of reference with the application as follows: one from a club advisor; one from an academic advisor; one from another person such as teacher, coach, camp advisor, etc. 7. Each applicant must provide a transcript of official high school or college grades.

Recipient of scholarship award will be notified by letter by the end of calendar year of the year application was submitted. Recipient must provide proof of enrollment (preferably grade transcript) in college or tech school to receive payment. The payment will be made directly to recipient. The award must be claimed within one year, otherwise award will be forfeited. Any request for extension must be made to the Market Livestock Committee. Award of this scholarship will be made only once to the same applicant.
