Those with previous bookstore or library experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Frontline booksellers are the first point of contact for customers and therefore are expected to create a friendly, professional, and helpful environment on the store floor. You should feel comfortable talking about and handselling a range of books. Primary responsibilities can include, but are not limited to, customer service, point-of-sale transactions, merchandising and maintaining inventory, used book buying, maintaining the store environment, and assisting in marketing and promotion. Retail schedules can include morning, evening, and weekend shifts. There is a company-wide vacation blackout between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.
