    Thanks for your interest in leading a community group at Hosanna! To become an official Hosanna group leader, we ask that you:

    • Take the Community Group Leader Orientation.
    • Complete this application. (Should be about 15 minutes)
    • Interview with a Pastor, Elder or Ministry Leader.
    • Sign Hosanna's Community Group Leader Agreement.
    • Register your group.

    At Hosanna we welcome people from a variety of faith backgrounds alongside those who have no faith background at all. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here.

    However, our Core Beliefs form the foundation of our church, so when someone takes a step into a leadership role, we ask that they affirm those beliefs.

  • The Triune God, The Godhead, The Trinity

    We believe that there is ONE living and true God, a holy, without sin, spiritual being, all knowing, everywhere present and eternally existing in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, that execute distinct, but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. (Exodus 3:14-15, John 4:24, Matthew 28:19)

    We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

  • God the Son, Jesus Christ

    We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His absolute eternal deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal and visible return to earth.

  • God, The Holy Spirit

    We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe in the Deity of the Holy Spirit and that He indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, counselor and guide. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

  • Sin

    We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are therefore under condemnation. Each person is responsible for their own sin and are separated from God by it. (Romans 5:12-21)

  • Salvation

    Salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a free gift from God and cannot be earned by our own effort or merit. When a person repents of sin, believes God and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him alone to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord. Baptism by immersion in water (when possible) is not required for salvation, but is rather a public profession that one has put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for Salvation. (Acts 4:8-12, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16-18, Romans 6:1-4)

    The Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error or contradiction in the original manuscript, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. All of our beliefs come from the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 3:15-16)

  • The Church

    The Church of Jesus Christ is not limited to any one institution or denomination. It is a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has lain upon the elders of the local church the primary task of feeding the flock and preparing it for the work of the ministry that includes, bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

  • Marriage, Holy Matrimony and Gender Identity

    The Biblical definition of Marriage is a union ordained by God between one man and one woman, as based on biological birth gender. We believe that there are only two genders, as taught by Scripture and supported by biological science, being male and female. As such, the Church views Holy Matrimony as a profound spiritual institution established by God.  Due to the importance of Holy Matrimony in biblical witness, this church defines Holy Matrimony as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage for secular legal purposes, but the church recognizes Holy Matrimony only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of marriage found in this statement of faith as Holy Matrimony.

    We believe in the sanctity of human life, and are therefore opposed to abortion and euthanasia.
