7th Sense are on the hunt for 10-15 minute 'plays' or short performance acts by working class artists, for a 2 night festival of new work at The Golden Goose Theatre, and we want to hear from you! This is an open opportunity to scratch material and present it to an audience and other creatives, with a networking social post shows.

What we can provide:

• A 10-15 minute performance slot at the Golden Goose Theatre (or 5+ for monologues & variety acts), to test drive a piece of theatre or work-in-progress with an audience and get their feedback
• Basic technical support for the shows at the Golden Goose Theatre 
• Professional photos of your piece in action
• A chilled social space to network with other creatives post shows 

What we'll need from you:

• Your lovely selves and your act
• To run your own rehearsals and engage with your team as much as you need to
• Provide any props/costume the performance requires
• Provide us with any technical requirements and content warnings with as much notice as possible
• Be available all day for tech/dress on your selected performance day

 
FAQs

• Does is have to be theatre? Not at all! We're after theatre pieces, work-in-progress, script in hand, spoken word, poetry, original music, cabaret, dance, rap - as long as it's new work and it's yours, we wanna hear it!
• Does it have to be a finished piece? Nope - This is a supportive platform for you to take risks, test stuff out and see what sticks. If you've got some material to play with, you're golden.
• My act includes more than one person, do we all have to be working class? Not neccessarily - For example, if you're a writer who is working class but you have been working on your piece with an actor/director who isn't, you can still apply.
• I have a script but I don't have a director/actors - can I still apply? Yes - we can help you with social shout outs accross our networks as best we can, but if you can find other people yourself that would be ideal!
• Do I need to be available both days? No! We'd love to platform different artists on each night, just let us know which day works best for you. (Bear in mind we'll need you for tech/dress all day on your performance day too) However we encourage coming to support your fellow artists in the evening you're not performing too
• Written forms don't work for me - can I apply another way? Of course! We want this to be as easy and open as possible - you select to apply by video or audio application instead at the bottom of this page.  Deadline to apply: 18th June, 6pm. 

The deadline for applications hoping to grab a bit of free rehearsal space has now passed, but we know finding space can be a pain - we can't guarentee anything, but if you'll need space to rehearse your piece let us know below and we'll try our best to help. 

Video/Audio work better for you? No problem! Send us a video or audio clip no more than five minutes long telling us about the following:

• What the act is you'd love to perform
• How long your act is
• A bit of background about you as an artist or your company
• If you'll need help finding rehearsal space for your piece (We'll do our best to support acts to find last minute space, but please note we can't guarentee it!)
• Any trigger or content warnings we should be aware of
• Anything else you'd like to tell us or is important for us to know! (Tell us about your dog, favourite MCR song, David Beckham's best haircut, anything else we've missed!)

Annoyingly due to file sizes the form doesn't support direct file uploads, but once you're done upload it to an online platform that suits you and drop us the link below (WeTransfer or unlisted links to YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud are all ace).
