Applications for L.O.V.E. Art 2022

Submission Deadline 16th October 2022 - Midnight

Submissions are open for all 2D/3D standing/hanging works, performance and audio/visual installations, there are also opportunities for work to be created and displayed directly on to internal/external glass (must be made on-site using removable materials) subject to approval of concept

Windows are maximum W1.75m x H3m (use chalk pens, chinagraph, dry wipe markers, poster paint, acrylic spray paint for example)

Artist is responsible for timely delivery of 'ready to hang' works; works that arrive late or that are not ready to be hung will be excluded without refund

Maximum Number of Submissions - 3 artworks per artist

All Artists Selected receive: Promotion on the L.O.V.E. Art Web Site, Inclusion in relevant publicity, Inclusion in the L.O.V.E. Art Show, Invite to Private View(s), Opportunity to win fantastic prizes

We will only consider applications which follow these guidelines:

Artists may submit no more than 3 works a £5 Admission fee is required for each piece of work

Please only submit work which is already complete or that you are confident you can apply to the windows

Your work must be 'ready to hang' (framed (if required) and with mirror plates or an alternative secure hanging mechanism attached), any works not ready to hang securely will be rejected

Your work must not contain any 18+ material either images or language

If work has any unusual requirements (put this in your notes section)

We cannot accept applications received after the deadline

How to Submit Work:

Artists may submit no more than 3 works with a £5 Admission fee required for each piece of work

Audio/Visual & Performance works may be accommodated this year, please include as much information as possible in your application.

Please only submit work which is already complete or that you are confident you can finish and/or apply to the external/internal windows of the venues.

Your work must not contain any 18+ material in either images or language.

Application Deadline: 16th October at Midnight

All works (once approved) must be submitted in person/or by registered post and must be delivered to LCB Depot, Rutland Street, Leicester, LE1 1RE

Photographs will be taken of the show and artworks for publicity, please specify if you want to opt-out of any publicity.

You may also make arrangements for us to post your work back to you. If you wish to do this, we will require the correct postage and packaging costs to be paid in advance. You may wish to consider handing us stamped addressed packaging when initially handing work to us to ensure quick return delivery.

Any works uncollected or which have been submitted without paying the administration fee will not be exhibited/and after a reasonable time will, unfortunately, have to be destroyed

L.O.V.E. Art and the Venues will do their up-most to protect all artworks, however, we will not be held liable for any damages, loss or theft of artworks.

If you require insurance this needs to be arranged by the artist.
