EARLY ENTRY FORM ... Saturday & Sunday, July 16-17, 2021 at the Comfort Inn Monticello near Charlottesville PLUS BLITZ on Friday evening, July 15 at 7PM!!
This is an Over-the-Board Tournament.

The Virginia Chess Federation (VCF) thanks you for your interest and participation in the 2021 Charlottesville Open! Registering and paying in advance saves you time, allowing you to avoid the "last minute line" at the tournament site.

TO REGISTER: Fill out the form below and submit payment using the secure PayPal payment website. You can either use your Credit Card or your PayPal account. Required information is indicated with a red asterix (*). Registration is complete and your information is submitted to tournament organizers as soon as your PayPal payment is processed.

Early Entry is $65 through SATURDAY JULY 9th, 2022. Starting Sunday, July 10th entry increases to $80. On-line registration will end at 6PM on Friday, July 15th. On-site registration will be open from 7-10PM Friday evening, July 15th and 7:30-9:15AM on Saturday morning. Blitz Entry, if you decide to play, is $30 online, $35 at the tournament.

Round 1 starts at 10 AM SHARP!!

Chess Sets will be provided by the VA Chess Federation, but you are welcome to bring your own set. PLEASE BRING YOUR INCREMENT-CAPABLE CHESS CLOCK.

This tournament is US Chess-rated, which means that players must be members of the U.S. Chess Federation to play. US Chess membership is available on-site--cash, check or credit cards accepted. Virginia Residents are required to be members of the VA Chess Federation (VCF), these memberships also are available on site or as part of signing up for the tournament

I understand the VA Chess Federation will apply Covid-19 protocols if required by the hotel or local/state specifications. If COVID-19 Protocols are being observed, spectators may not be allowed in the Playing Room I understand the Chief TD will review players' US Chess over-the-board and online ratings and game history to determine section eligibility. No FOOD is allowed in the Playing Room, only bottled drinks with caps or personal water/beverage bottles.
