Each year, JASWDC hosts the Sakura Matsuri - Japanese Street Festival on the weekend following Japan Bowl. The festival brings together visitors from all over the DC Metro area and the country to celebrate with great food, vendors, and entertainers. All Japan Bowl participants may receive one ticket to the Sakura Matsuri upon request.
Students and chaperones are also invited to join us in volunteering at the Japan Bowl Tent to help promote the Naational Japan Bowl. Students will make calligraphy bookmarks and can even run a small mini Japan Bowl trivia. JASWDC can provide sign off on Service Learning paperwork upon request.
If you would like to find out more about the Sakura Matsuri you can visit the festival at http://sakuramatsuri.org
