Prickly Pear Parade Entry 2022

Entry Forms Must be Received by August 31, 2022

NO ANIMALS ALLOWED IN PARADE ENTRIES - (We LOVE animals-this is an insurance requirement)

Parade will include a "Splash Zone". In the splash zone, the float is permitted to SOAK parade participants. (They will be warned in advance).

If you want to participate in the splash portion of the parade, the Rincon Valley Fire District can fill your container/drum with water between 8:00 - 8:45 on July 4th at the staging area at the church parking lot, 14600 E Colossal Cave Road.

PARADE RULES
Entry Forms must be received by June 27, 2019

The Committee needs time to organize the parade line-up and prepare the script for our announcer.
1. Include the Announcer’s Script with the Entry Form.
2. Racing of motors is prohibited
3. Throwing/tossing of any articles from the parade such as candy, balloons, gum, literature OR ANYTHING is a violation of the Litter Law and prohibited by our insurance. Throwing items is dangerous and may cause an accident by enticing a child into the parade route.
4. To hand out Candy OR ANYTHING ELSE REQUIRES PRIOR APPROVAL by the Steering Committee. You will receive individual instruction. VIOLATION OF THIS RULE and/or prior approval WILL GET YOUR ENTRY EJECTED on the spot FROM THE PARADE, even during the parade, AND BANNED FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR. No one will be allowed to cause circumstances that could endanger another person.
5. The Parade Committee reserves the right to exclude any Entry not displaying the American flag in good taste and in accordance with the Federal Flag Code.
6. Cooperation with Parade Officials is mandatory

Authorized signer and Participant hereby agrees to hold The Vail Preservation Society, the A Colossal Fourth Parade Committee, sponsors, their Officers, Directors, and members of the same, harmless from any claim arising from the Participant’s Entry, acts or omissions in said A Colossal Fourth Parade, or out of any accident, injury or damage involved therein, including, but not limited to attorney fees and Court costs. By submitting this Entry, Participant agrees to abide by all A Colossal Fourth Parade Rules.
