Colonel Rock Appearance Request Form

Hello! Thank you for your interest in having Colonel Rock attend your event.

Please answer these questions as thoroughly as possible to help us respond to your request in an efficient manner. All requests will be evaluated on a request by request basis.

Appearance Terms & Conditions

Completion of this form does not guarantee an appearance. Once your event is reviewed, you will receive email notification on Colonel Rock’s availability.

We ask that you please submit your request at least 2 weeks prior to the event. The further in advance the request is made, the more likely I will be available. Please note that I am most likely to participate in events and activities that advance Western Illinois University’s mission.
Incomplete requests cannot be approved.
All requests are subject to the approval of Western Illinois University who reserves the right to refuse for any reason.
Most appearances will be limited to 1 hour or less. This is for my wellbeing and due to a very demanding schedule.
I need you to please have water available for me and a free parking spot that is as close to the event as possible. (My legs are short. The less walking, I have to do, the more pep I will have left in my step for your event!)
I cannot appear at outdoor events during inclement weather, which includes heat. What feels like a nice Spring/Summer/Fall day to you could be dangerously hot for me. I must take heat very seriously. The onsite contact will be notified ASAP should the decision to cancel my appearance be made.
Western Illinois University reserves the right to cancel an appearance without penalty due to illness, personal emergency, schedule conflicts, etc. After all, I am a live animal and things happen. Should I miss a scheduled appearance for any of the reasons above or other extenuating circumstances, the onsite contact will be notified.
Appearances are free of charge, however, if the request involves traveling outside of Macomb, Illinois requests are subject to an appearance fee that goes to cover expenses related to travel and other needs of the WIU live mascot program.
