Resident Artist Application

First things first!

No Good is a community of tattoo artists in Austin, Texas. Our artists use both handpoke and machine methods and are mostly self taught. We are a community that encourages individuals in all stages of their tattoo careers. While No Good welcomes all, we want to intentionally invite BIPOC and queer tattooers into our space! Please don't hesitate to apply, regardless of amount of time tattooing, follower count, etc. :-) No Good is a space that values learning and openmindedness! We love seeing new, unique styles of tattooing and hope to learn from each artist that comes through our doors.

We specifically look for unique art style, clean linework, good healed results, and most importantly shared values when we consider who we invite into the space.

Before pressing that "submit" button, here's some things you should know!

-We offer every potential resident artist a 1-month "trial period" before giving a long-term offer. This is our chance to see if you are a good fit for the space, but also your chance to see if we are a good fit for you! Please be aware of this before applying, especially if you are moving cross country, internationally, etc. Things we look for in a trial period are: ability to communicate needs, understand boundaries, and uphold our values!

-We have strict sanitary protocol here at the shop! We strive to keep our artists and clients safe. You will be required to go over sanitary set ups and break downs multiple times with us when you first arrive and again after you sign on full time! We hope to learn something from you just as you might learn from us. :-) And if you don't have prior knowledge of sanitary set up and break down, that is totally ok! We will share everything we have learned over the years.

-We are a mask-optional space, with the option for all clients coming through to request the whole shop mask, or for any artists to request their clients mask while in the space. Let us know if you have more questions on this or anything else!
