Program Description:
Between 5-10 teens will be part of the team that will create The Sweet and Sour Animal Book exhibition and reading room to ARTneo at the 78th Street Studios in the Spring of 2023. Participants will work on a real-world, arts professional project, that blends museum studies and community engagement. You will build skills in teamwork, project planning, writing, research, creative problem-solving, design, and communications.
You will:
- Regularly meet with a team of your peers and art professionals.
- Work in the 78th Street Studios and the CMA.
- Research and learn about Langston Hughes, Elmer Brown, and children's illustrated books.
- Share your thought and ideas both verbally and in writing.
- As a team, design and create a reading room that relates to the exhibition.
Requirements
- Be in High School for the 2022-2023 school year
- Preferrable have participated in a CMA Teen Program (CUC, TeenCo Lab, etc.)
- Be willing and able to fully commit to the program.
- Be open to learn, listen, work on a team, and share your ideas.

- Provide support for all aspects of the program
- Pay a $1,500 stipend
