Thank you for your interest in the annual North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) Peanut Butter Drive (PBD).
The PBD first began in Plano in 2014 under former Mayor Harry LaRosiliare's leadership. The drive is a perfect opportunity for the whole community to get involved and help raise awareness of childhood hunger in North Texas. 300,000 children are hungry in North Texas, equal to 1 in 5 kids.
We chose September because it coincided with Hunger Action Month, a Feeding America hunger awareness initiative.
The reason we decided to focus on peanut butter is because it's kid-friendly, healthy, and a highly requested item.
Since it's origins in Plano, the PBD has expanded each year and now welcomes every city in NTFB's 13-county service area. This year our goal is to raise $275,000 and 125,000lbs of kid-friendly peanut butter!
Please fill out this form if you would like more information on the PBD before the campaign scheduled for September.
Note that information will be provided as it becomes available.
