A conflict of interest, or an appearance of conflict, can arise wherever the personal interests, financial or otherwise, of a board member, or an immediate family member ofa board member, or that the board member's employer (collectively "your personal interests") conflicts with a transaction, or an action, of the Bosco-Milligan Foundation.
As a Board Member of the Bosco-Milligan Foundation, I have received a copy of the Conflict of Interest policy in Article 4.11 of the Foundation's Bylaws, and understand and agree to it. In addition, I understand and agree to the following that I:
1) Perform my duties as a Board member for the good of the organization and not for any private, personal, or family interest, except as clearly disclosed to and agreed upon by a minimum of three-fourths of the remaining, disinterested Board members, as set forth in Section 4.11 of the Bosco-Milligan Foundation Bylaws.
2) Avoid using my position as a Board member to influence any decision(s) in which I may have a personal, family, financial, legal, or political advantage or gain, except as clearly disclosed by me and agreed to by a minimum of three-fourths of the remaining, disinterested Board members, as set forth in Section 4.11 of the Bosco-Milligan Foundation Bylaws.
3) Avoid taking any undisclosed advantage of services or opportunities for business, family, or personal gain. This includes, but is not limited to, accepting gifts, favors, or promises of benefits that might compromise, or give the appearance of compromising, my independent judgment or action.
