WINDOW FILM
Drying Time
After completion of a new window film, it takes 2-3 days of curing before rolling down or cleaning the windows. It will take 3-4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions.
Black Dotted Edges
Most cars have a black ceramic edge on the side and rear windows; these ceramic edges are either straight and flat or will have a dotted edge. The black ceramic edges are quite thick on most cars which will prevent the window film from sticking to the area between the dots, resulting in a whitish-looking strip trimming the glass, unfortunately, the effects are unavoidable.
Shade / Color
There are no refunds due to the look / color once a client chooses and film is installed.
Film, Badge, & Decal Removal
Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint, glass, and defroster to be damaged. By authorizing Precision Detailing to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Precision Detailing, and agrees that Precision Detailing will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.
Imperfections
Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every window film application, also pre-existing flaws or scratches and metal deposits on the glass are often much more noticeable after the window are tinted. Older vehicles will have more imperfections due to age. We are also not responsible for re-installlation or removal due to any existing defects or defects present on/within the glass itself.
Windshield Film Installation
There will be minor imperfections present in every windshield installation. It will be easier to see due to the film being installed on the front windshield. Do not apply any decals, or windshield accessories on the windshield for 7 days. There will be no refund or warranty coverage on the rainbow effect due to wearing polarized sunglasses. Precision Auto Detailing is not liable or responsible for any damage to electronics, mechanical components, or other sensitive areas of the vehicle that may occur during the installation of window tint.
Michigan Law
Customers installing VLT not approved by Michigan law has released Precision Auto Detailing from all liability.

Paint Protection Film
About Paint Protection Film
The paint protection film is designed to protect your vehicle’s paint from chips, scratches, swirl marks, and is 8 mils thick. PPF is applied to the exterior of your vehicle’s paint. The PPF is warrantied for 10 years from yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delamination. The PPF warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents or from objects that hit or penetrated the film.
Drying Time
Your new paint protection film will take 3 - 4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. Do not wash your vehicle for 5 days. Vehicles should be returned for inspection within 2-4 weeks if the client sees something that may need to be addressed.
Condition of vehicle for paint protection film installation
The vehicle cannot have any paint protection coatings on it such as ceramic coatings. These can affect the effectiveness of the adhesion and may cause lifting, bubbles, and other issues. Any preexisiting damages such as rock chips, scratches, and knicks will not be fixed by PPF and may be noticable even after the film is installed. The client is aware that the design of the PPF is for OEM factory paint. The client waives and releases Precision Auto Detailing from any warranty or damage claims where a product has been applied to a non-OEM paint surface.
Paint
Paint may lift on repainted panel/OEM paint if improperly prepped and painted. By authorizing Precision Auto Detailing to proceed with the install, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Precision Auto Detailing, and agrees that Precision Auto Detailing will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the installation process.
Paint Chips
PPF is to prevent your vehicle from future paint chip damage. PPF installation over paint chips will look like contamination after the install due the unevenness of the paint surface. We do not recommend touchup on small paint chips due to the aesthetics of the install thereafter.
Installation
All PPF kits are computer cut using cutting software. Pre-cut kits involve stopping short of edges, edges around badges, washers, and other parts. The customer understands that PPF is a sacrificial layer for your car, not a completely invisible or matte layer. Customers may choose to have custom design fit or bulk install for an additional fee.
Exposed Edges and Seams
Although we strive to wrap all edges, some cannot be wrapped. Debris build-up over time on exposed edges/seams will be more visible on white/light-colored vehicles. Partial installs will have more noticeable debris due to exposed edges. We recommend ceramic coating your vehicle to reduce debris build-up. There is no warranty or reapplication of the film due to debris build-up.
Headlights
Headlights are not recommended for PPF installation due to HID feature and exterior coating. By authorizing Precision Auto Detailing to proceed with headlight film installation, the customer hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Precision Auto Detailing, and agrees that Precision AutoDetailing will not be liable.
Cleaning/Bug Etching
Bug etching occurs when insect remains cause staining or damage to the Paint Protection Film (PPF) if not promptly cleaned. Customers are responsible for regular cleaning of their vehicle to prevent this issue, following the provided maintenance guidelines. Our warranty does not cover damage from bug etching, and any repairs or replacements due to this will incur additional charges. For enhanced protection, we recommend applying a ceramic coating over the PPF.
Film, Badge, & Decal Removal
Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint, glass, and defroster to be damaged. By authorizing Precision Auto Detailing to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Precision Auto Detailing, and agrees that Precision Auto Detailing will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.
Imperfections
Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every PPF application, also pre-existing flaws, scratches, and rock chips on the paint are often much more noticeable after the PPF is installed. Paint Protection Film will have minor imperfections like orange peel. The used and older vehicle will have more imperfections due to its age.
Warranty
Our Paint Protection Film (PPF) comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty that covers defects in the film, including yellowing, cracking, bubbling, or delaminating, under normal conditions and with proper care. In addition, we offer a 60-day installation warranty that covers defects due to installation errors, such as misalignment, bubbling, or peeling. After 60 days, any installation-related issues are no longer covered. The warranty does not cover damage caused by external factors such as accidents, abrasions, improper cleaning, or environmental exposure. A warranty card will be provided to the client, and the warranty is non-transferable. For any warranty claims, please contact us directly.
Ceramic Coatings
Curing Time
Your new Ceramic Coating will take 10 days to fully cure and 4 hours to dry after the last layer of an application. Do not wash your vehicle until the curing process is complete. Your vehicle can only be hand washed thereafter to maintain coating performance. Machine or tunnel car washes will void all warranties.
Water Spots
Washing vehicles with unfiltered water, especially in the sun, can cause water spot stains. The client understands that the longer the water spots are left on the vehicle, the harder it will be to remove them. Precision Auto Detailing will not be liable in the event that water spot damage does occur.
Condition of Vehicle for Ceramic Coating
It is recommended that all new or used vehicles have paint correction done before being coated. The client acknowledges that the ceramic coating on uncorrected areas will be less effective than corrected areas. By waiving this additional service, the client understands that the coating will be less effective on areas that have not been painted corrected.
Film, Badge, & Decal Removal
Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the substrate to be damaged. By authorizing Precision Auto Detailing to proceed with the removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Precision Auto Detailing, and agrees that Precision Auto Detailing will not be liable in the event that damage does occur during the removal process.
Paint Correction
Paint correction will remove most light scratches, swirls, marring, and minor marks on the vehicle’s clear coat. The client understands that even though we strive for perfection, some degree of scratching, swirls, and minor marks are present after the paint correction process.
Cleaning/Bug Etching
Bug etching occurs when insect remains cause staining or damage to the ceramic coating if not promptly cleaned. Customers are responsible for regular cleaning of their vehicle to prevent this issue, following the provided maintenance guidelines. Our warranty does not cover damage from bug etching, and any repairs or replacements due to this will incur additional charges.
Ceramic Coating
Ceramic Coating is a SIO2 (Silicon dioxide) ceramic coating providing protection against UV and making your vehicle easier to clean. I understand that the coating is not scratch-proof. It is recommended that vehicles get paint protection film (clear bra) on bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors before coating to prevent rock chips.
Windshield and Glass
Client understands that weather conditions will affect the degree and time of protection. There is no warranty on durability on windshield coating.
Interior Coating
If any liquid or substance gets on the upholstery, it is advised to clean it up as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance remains on the upholstery, staining may occur. There is no warranty on the staining of your vehicle’s interior.
Wheels Off Coating
If any brake dust or road debris is on wheels and calipers, it is advised to clean it up as soon as possible to prevent stains from occurring. I understand that the longer the substance stays on, staining may occur on wheels and calipers. Wheel coating is not recommended for bare aluminum wheels, therefor bare aluminum wheels will not be coated. If you want to proceed with the coating, there will be no warranty given on bare aluminum wheels. There is a 2-year warranty for wheels and calipers. The client is responsible for re-torquing the wheels to vehicle manufacturer torque specifications.
Maintenance & Annual Inspections
We recommend washing your vehicle bi-weekly. Annual Inspections are recommended after the install date to ensure that the coating has been maintained and cared for properly.
