Shawn and Lauren Murnahan joined us as Senior Pastor on December 13, 2020. They attended Appalachian Bible College in 2009 where Shawn received his Bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology/Pastoral ministries. Since graduating he has been ordained and served in two churches as Youth Pastor, Board member, and Elder.
God has blessed them with four children. Landon, Hannah, Luke, and Lincoln.
"Our family is one that is set on serving the Lord with our lives. All of our children have
made professions of faith and Lauren and I are seeking to train them up in the ways of the Lord.
The position of pastor is not something that is to be taken lightly. Serving as a pastor, my role is to help guide the church as they seek to serve the Lord. “Perfecting of the saints, for the
work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). The Bible
speaks of our mission as followers of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you
always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”(KJV) Our mission is to make disciples and we
are seeking to be a family that is obedient to the Lord because life is for service."
