The purpose of this project is to reflect on our individual and collective experiences from the last strange two years. By collecting stories and images together in an artproject, we create a collective context for understanding, sharing and healing.
Along with photos, you may submit writing in response to the focus questions (max. 300 words). Text and images may be used as part of the final textile assemblage, as well as a digital display for the August Adrift exhibition.
Focus Questions which may help in your story / image selection:
• In what ways have you felt change in yourself, your family, and/or your community? Do you remember a specific experience or moment that might have brought about this change?
• What makes you feel safe in your community?
• What have you learned from your surroundings, or taught to yourself, during the pandemic?
Please contact Emma Walter (emma@hornbyarts.com) if you have any questions about the project.
