WACS Scholarship to Promote Christian Education Professionals

Applications submitted by August 1, 2026, will be considered for a scholarship to be awarded in December 2026. Scholarships are sent directly to the recipient's school by January 15, 2027 to be applied to their second semester expenses. If selected to receive a scholarship, you may reapply each year for another scholarship. 

WACS Student Scholarship: Qualifying recipients may receive up to $1,000 for each full year they attend a WACS board-approved Christian college/university in pursuit of a bachelor’s education degree.

1. Students may apply for the scholarship for a maximum of 5 years.
2. The recipient must be a full-time student.
3. The recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.
4. The funds will be sent directly to the institution.

WACS Statement of Faith

1. The Bible: We believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, and it is our only rule of faith and practice.
2. God: We believe God exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that all three are equal in divine attributes
3. Jesus Christ: We believe in the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and His identification as the Son of God. We believe in His vicarious substitutionary death on the cross, the atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood. We believe in the resurrection of His body from the tomb and His continual work of intercession for believers at the right hand of God the Father. We believe in His power to save men eternally from sin.
4. Holy Spirit:  We believe that God the Holy Spirit calls, regenerates, indwells, fills, and seals the believers.  We reject the modern charismatic doctrine (speaking in tongues and the second work of grace).
5. Creation: We believe in the Bible account of creation, rather than all forms of evolution, and that it was accomplished by the direct act of God in six solar days.
6. Man: We believe that man became a fallen creature and that all men are born in sin and totally depraved, lost, and condemned to Hell, and in order to be saved require the new birth experience of salvation by the grace of God through genuine faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior apart from works of man.
7. Future Things: We believe in the imminent, pre-tribulational, premillennial return of Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead – the saved to a life of eternal glory and bliss in Heaven with God and the unsaved to eternal judgment of conscious suffering and woe in the Lake of Fire.
8. The Church and Its Mission: We believe that the local church is an independent, autonomous body of baptized (immersed) believers carrying out its mission to win the lost and disciple believers.  We further believe it is the God-given right of the parents to be responsible for the education and welfare of their children.
9. Separation: We believe in the Biblical doctrine of separation which encompasses three things: the separation of the local church from all affiliation with liberals and those who are content to fellowship with liberals, the separation of the individual believer from all worldly practices that may dishonor the Savior, and the separation of church and state.
10. Concerning Human Sexuality: We believe God has commanded that no sexual intimacy be engaged in outside of the marriage between a man and a woman.  We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bi-sexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, transgenderism, transsexuality and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex. We believe the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman as husband and wife.  We believe that man and woman are spiritually equal in position before God, but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home, and the church.  The husband is to be the leader of the home and men are to be the leaders (pastors and deacons) of the church.  Accordingly, only men are eligible for licensure and ordination by the church.  (Gen. 2:24; 19:5,13; 26:8-1 0; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1 :26-29; 1 Cor. 5: I; 6:9; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; He b. 13:4; Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Gal. 3:28; Col. 3:18; 1 Tim. 2:8-15; 3:4-5,12)

Applicants must submit an applicable reference by August 1, 2026 to the WACS office also.

1. Graduating high school seniors must submit a reference from their pastor or administrator.
2. College students must have a good deportment report from the Dean of Students or similar position.
