The Arts Center of Greenwood serves to enhance the quality of life in the Lakelands area with arts education programs and initiatives for all ages. Having welcomed over 200,000 visitors since opening in 2006, the center is a focal point for community engagement. The purpose of the STEAM initiative at the center is to provide diverse learning experiences that develop skills in critical thinking, imagination, and innovation. The center sponsors STEAM-focused programs annually such as LEGO robotics teams, summer camps, community outreach programs, and the iMAGINE Lakelands STEAM Festival in Uptown Greenwood.
