    Two videos are required with your application. The videos should be of 2 contrasting, operatic arias. The videos must have been recorded within 12 months of the application deadline. Please also be sure that your YouTube video privacy setting is set to Public. If you would prefer to keep your video setting as Private, please be sure to share your video as an Unlisted video.

  • In-Person Audition Requirements

    Singers should prepare five selections including the following:

    • Four opera arias, one of which must be in Italian.
    • One art song or musical theatre/cabaret selection in the language of your choice.

    If you’d like to be considered for a role in La Cenerentola, please offer a Rossini aria (or aria of a representative style) as one of your 5 selections.

    You may change audition repertoire after submitting your application, provided the above requirements are still met. It is not necessary to notify us if you change your repertoire; just bring a copy of the revised list to the audition. You will begin your audition with one selection of your choice. An additional selection may be requested.

    Pianist Fee
    None. A pianist is provided free of charge. You may bring your own pianist at your own cost.

    Two artistic authorities with whom you have worked and who may act as professional references. No written recommendations are accepted.
