The mission of the Local Issues Committee is to support or oppose proposals under consideration by local governmental bodies, including local ballot measures, which concern the preservation of real-property rights, real estate brokering, and the legal and economic rights of real estate consumers and practitioners. What strengths do you have that would help accomplish this goal?
List any ideas you may have to increase awareness of the Texas REALTORS® Issues PAC (TRIP) to REALTORS® associations in your area.
Association Service
What is your experience with committees at your local association and/or the National Association of REALTORS®, especially involving government affairs and TREPAC?

Committee Requirements
Are you willing to travel within your region to promote the REALTOR® position on local issues campaigns, and work with local association volunteers and community members (including public speaking) in support of campaign goals?
Would traveling throughout your region present a financial hardship for you?
Are you willing to promote Texas REALTORS® advocacy efforts on social media and to your local networks?
Are you willing and able to:

·         Be available with 24-hours’ notice for virtual committee meetings

·         Evaluate local policy issues for impact to the real estate market and industry

·         Identify successful public persuasion campaign proposals

·         Read and assess issues campaign budgets

·         Work with local partners in support of local issues campaigns

·         Promote TRIP resources to REALTORS® throughout Texas

·         Support issues campaign efforts
