WiT EMPOWERMENT DAY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment believes that every woman should have the opportunity to pursue their goals, connections to our industry, networking with peers, and a successful career path.

To help with this, we are pleased to offer ten $1,000 need-based scholarships to women inventors and entrepreneurs who might not otherwise be able to attend WiT Empowerment Day in Dallas, TX on September 19, 2022, to help cover their travel costs to attend.

Scholarships will be awarded in these three categories:

Newbie. You have never attended a live Empowerment Day event or virtual Empower Days.
Veteran. You have participated in two or more in-person Empowerment Day or virtual Empower Days events.
Student. You are enrolled in a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate design program for the 2022-2023 school year.

In order to apply, you must fulfill these eligibility requirements:

Are an inventor or entrepreneur who wishes to take their toy, game or play product or concept to the next level.
Have registered for 2022 WiT Empowerment Day.
Are a resident of the United States or Canada.
Are 18 years of age or older.
Are a current WiT member. If you are not a current WiT member, please click here to join before continuing this application.
Are not a full-time toy industry professional, toy company employee, or agent.

If you are granted a scholarship, it is understood that you will attend WiT Empowerment Day in Dallas, TX on Monday, September 19, 2022. No reimbursements of any other expenses will be provided.

Scholarship funds will be disbursed by ACH bank transfer 7-10 days following Empowerment Day (between September 26th and 30th).

Scholarship winners will be notified of their award by Monday, August 1, 2022.
