N2 Clinical Research Grant Application

Overview:

The Neonatal Network Clinical Research Grant Program aims to provide support to trainees and young career neonatologists with support for their research project. Through this initial cohort we aim to provide up to $20,000 in funding to investigators with innovative projects that can have a direct impact on newborn care. At this time we are accepting grant applications for clinical research only. This grant program is intended to support the care of newborns worldwide, and for that reason we encourage prospective investigators from around the world to apply.
Eligibility:

The recipient must be a member of the Neonatal Network

Timeline:

Grant applications must be submitted no later than: September 30st 2022 @ 23:59 US EST
Decisions will be released to grant applicants on November 30th 2022

Abstract Guidelines:

Abstract should not exceed 500 words. Abstract should follow a standard format and include:
- Backgroud
- Aims
- Methods
- Statistical approach

Budget Guidelines:

Requests can include costs for supplies, minor equipment, and salaries for support personnel. Funds are not to be used for faculty salaries (including the primary investigator's) or indirect costs. Travel reimbursement is limited to local travel for research purposes and travel to locations with pertinent resources for the proposed study. IRB fees up to $1,000 may be included in the budget.

Funding is for one year; however, a non-funded extension up to one year may be requested. All recipients are asked to provide publication information and updates for two years following study completion.
