The EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) Program is a youth initiative is designed to uplift African American males by addressing issues facing African American males, in grades 6 - 12. The topics related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, culture, self efficacy, leadership, physical and mental health, healthy lifestyle choices, character, ethics, relationships, college readiness, fiscal management, civic engagement, and service learning are addressed through dialogue groups, presentations, community forums, structured activities, and mentorships. In addition the young men will attend cultural programs and participate in community service activities.
