  • Welcome to the Vondelbunker!
    The Vondelbunker is an autonomous cultural centre run by volunteers sharing the conviction that space is political.

    The bunker is a space where nobody is making any money. All the volunteers, artists and programmers involved in the event are here because they think it isn’t all about money.

    • We never charge the public or the event organizers. However, we encourage donations to support us and the artists for the time, energy and expenses.
    • We work together with organizations as equals and are able to give free space open for experiments.
    • We want diversity!
    • We don’t tolerate any kind of discrimination or offensive behaviour. This includes (but it’s not limited to) racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, aggression, intimidation, and sexual harassment.
    • Additionally, while we are flexible in terms of opening the bunker, events ALWAYS end at 01:00 to ensure the safety of our crew.
    • Finally, a reminder that we are a very small group of volunteers doing all of this in their spare time. If you did not receive a reply from us it is not personal, or we might not have reached your submission during a meeting yet.
    • Come by to one of our meetings (Mondays of odd weeks) if you are local, and please do not spam our other social media channels for a reply.

     

  • I have read your manifesto, align with your core values, and understand that I cannot sell tickets for this event, hire/rent the bunker for private events, and that the event ends at 01:00.

  • Do you understand the history and political ideas of our space and that we align with anti-authoritarian values?
  • Do you understand that we do not pay the artists, organizers, or volunteers? (a small compensation split between all artists for those travelling internationally can be given)
  • Do you understand that we work as equals and that discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated, including (but not limited to) racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, aggression, intimidation, and sexual harassment?
  • Do you understand that we do not charge an entrance fee, with absolutely no exceptions?
  • Do you understand that the space must close at 1:00 sharp, with absolutely no exceptions?
  • Do you understand that you may not receive a reply from us, and that we ask you to please not spam our other channels for a reply?
  • Do you understand that if you are a local we encourage you to come pitch your event at one of our meetings and that we prioritize Jotform requests from abroad?
