  • TEACHER CERTIFICATION APPLICATION IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.

    The application process for Principal and Superintendent Certification Program applications remain open year-round. 

     

  • This application will take 30-45 minutes to complete, and includes places to upload proof of transcript requests, spaces to provide narrative answers to questions, and areas requesting personal and professional information specific to your program of interest.

    While filling this form out, it's recommended to Save, which will send a link to your email where you do not have to start over if interrupted, or when waiting on required documentation to upload. 

    When you have finished filling out the application the payment of a $100 application fee will be required for processing the application. This application will not be submitted to the ACP program prior to successful payment. Payment does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

  • Teacher Certification Program Requirements

    This Alternative Certification Program requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher leaning. It also requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 overall or 2.6 on the last sixty (60) university hours, OR demonstration of proficiency in basic reading, written communication, and mathematics by taking and passing PACT (Pre-Admission Content Test).

  • Non-Master's Applicants for Principal Certification

    Region 14 ACP teams with Sul Ross to offer classwork at Region 14 ESC, for applicant's that have not yet earned a Master's degree. In addition to this application, please apply to Sul Ross Alpine for the GENERAL Master of Education through applytexas.org (Do not apply for the Leadership Master of Education), and send an official transcript to Sul Ross for each university you've attended.   • Educator Preparation Programs (EPPS) shall notify, in writing by mail, personal devlivery, facsimile, e-mail, or an electronic notification, each applicant to and enrollee in the EPP of the following regardless of whether the applicant of enrollee has been convicted of an offence:

    (1) The potential ineligibility of an individual who has been convicted of an offense for issuance of a certificate on completion of the EPP;

    (2) The current State board for Educator Certification (SBEC) rules prescribed in 249.16 of TAC (relating to Eligibility of Persons with Criminal History for a Certificate under Texas Occupatoins Code, Chapter 53, and Texas Education Code, Chapter 21); and

    (3) The right to request a criminal histroy evaluation letter as provided on Chapter 227, subchapter B of this title (relating to Preliminary Evaluation of Certification Eligibility)
